IQ Group Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 695 106 275). Last updated July 2026.

IQ Group Australia Pty Ltd(referred to as “IQs Group”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information we collect and handle. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and store personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What is personal information

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. It may include your name, contact details, employment history, qualifications, licences and tickets, and information collected during recruitment or service delivery.

How we collect personal information

We collect personal information directly from you where possible, for example when you complete our contact form, register interest in work, apply for a role, engage our services or communicate with us by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp. We may also collect information from third parties such as referees, clients, licensing bodies and background check providers, where you have consented or would reasonably expect us to do so.

Sensitive information

Sensitive information (such as health information relevant to a work placement) is only collected with your consent and where reasonably necessary for our functions, for example assessing fitness for a specific role or managing workplace safety obligations.

How we use your information

We use personal information to provide our maintenance, remediation, recruitment and transport services, assess candidates for work placements, manage client and supplier relationships, meet our legal and safety obligations, respond to enquiries and improve our services.

Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose personal information to clients where you are proposed for a work placement, to our insurers, professional advisers and service providers, and to government bodies where required by law. We do not sell personal information. If information is disclosed to overseas providers (for example hosting services), we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with Australian privacy law.

Direct marketing

We may contact you about services, roles or updates we believe are relevant to you. You can opt out at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option in our communications, and we will stop within a reasonable period.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. We will respond within a reasonable time. In limited circumstances we may refuse access as permitted by law, and if so we will explain why.

Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Information is stored in secure systems with access limited to those who need it. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for our functions or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, supplied by Google LLC, through Google Tag Manager. These tools set cookies that record how visitors reach and move through the site: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, the device and browser you use, and actions such as submitting an enquiry form or tapping a call link.

This information is reported to us in aggregate and we do not use it to identify you. Google processes it on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Australia. You can stop this collection at any time by controlling cookies through your browser settings, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
